Sally Hunter who draws her inspiration form her 3 young children and the English countryside created Humphrey’s Corner. First launched in 1998 as a delicate range of greeting cards, the brand has since become an extremely popular nursery range well loved in the UK, Europe and the USA. Humphrey’s Corner is a story about a charming little elephant that lives with his parents, big sister Lottie, and baby brother Jack in a world waiting to be discovered. Sally is keen that Humphrey and his family are associated with good things - preserving a child’s birthright by creating an environment where imagination can thrive, in touch with nature, colour, fairy stories, wholesome food and lots of love. Her continual involvement in the brand has ensured that Humphrey’s Corner remains creative and innovative with an all round appeal to adults as well as babies.

Humphrey is a soft, gentle little elephant. He doesn’t go to school yet so has lots of time to play with his most favourite toy mop. He is a rabbit. Mop is getting quite baggy now and one ear has been loved off…but Humphrey doesn’t mind. Humphrey likes making lovely pictures to put on the kitchen wall, making mud potions in his camp at the bottom of the garden, being a superhero and going fishing with his daddy (but they always put them back!). Humphrey has a friend called George who lives next door and a girlfriend called Tilly, who he sees at mothers and toddlers.

| Lottie is Humphrey’s Big Sister. She is usually kind to her little brothers, but is sometimes rather bossy because she likes to be in charge! Lottie has four favourite babies: Trevor the Tortoise, Barry Lamb, Lulu Dolly and Bear. Lulu is Lottie’s favourite (but it’s a secret because she doesn’t want the others to feel upset). Lottie’s very very best friend is Jessie. They sit next to each other in class and nearly always play at the weekends. Their favourite game is to make a camp under Jessie’s bunk bed where you aren’t allowed in unless you know the password! |

Baby Jack is Humphrey and Lottie's little brother. He is loved lots. He always smiles and laughs and talks baby talk……..he dribbles a lot too. Baby’s special toy is Dog. Baby Jack has just learnt to walk. He is a bit wobbly and he falls over quite a bit. Best of all he loves puddings! His favourite is rice pudding with a dollop of jam and custard with banana bits in. He has his own dish and spoon and likes feeding himself but has to wear a bib! |
