It’s Christmas Eve! By now the shopping should be completed, perhaps there are some presents left to wrap and you may have a difficult but fun night ahead trying to get the kids to sleep before Father Christmas makes his appearance. Many people have Christmas Eve traditions to keep up and here are some of our favourites:
Gifts from the Reindeer
Some families have presents on Christmas Eve thanks to the reindeer. These gifts are new pyjamas for the whole family, slippers and bathrobes. The idea is the reindeer come down the chimney first to find the stockings to tell Father Christmas where he needs to look.
Gifts to Say Thanks to Father Christmas
One of the most common traditions is leaving biscuits or mince pies for Santa, along with a glass of Brandy or Milk and a carrot for Rudolf. This is even more fun if you bake him a treat from scratch.
Time in Front of the TV
Christmas films are always fun, entertaining and can really make Christmas start to feel real. There are lots of brilliant movies to choose from such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Home Alone.
Leading the Way
Some families make sure Father Christmas will find his way into the house if there are no chimneys. Placing a magic key by the door and sprinkling glitter along the path before bed which works perfectly.
So what traditions will you be enjoying this evening?
The whole team here at Golden Bear Toys would like to wish you a very merry Christmas!
